Returns and Refunds

At Lofoten Seaweed, we want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy explains your options for returning products, cancelling an order under your statutory right of withdrawal, and making a complaint if something is wrong with the goods.

1. Voluntary 30-day return policy

We offer a 30-day return policy for eligible items. You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return under this policy.

To be eligible for a return under this policy, the item must be unused and in resalable condition. Proof of purchase is required.

To request a return, please contact us at post@lofotenseaweed.com. Returns must not be sent back without prior approval.

If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to return the item. We will process your refund to the original payment method within 10 business days after we have received and inspected the returned item. Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or card provider to process the refund.

Unless otherwise agreed, customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping for returns made under this voluntary 30-day return policy.

2. EEA Statutory 14-day right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer and your purchase is covered by the EEA statutory right of withdrawal, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period starts the day after you, or someone you have chosen, receives the goods. If the required information about the right of withdrawal has not been provided, the deadline may be extended by up to 12 months.

To use your right of withdrawal, please notify us within the withdrawal period by email at post@lofotenseaweed.com.

After notifying us, you must send or deliver the goods back to us within 14 days. You are responsible for safe return of the goods. Unless we have agreed otherwise, you are responsible for the return shipping cost when using the statutory right of withdrawal, provided this was communicated before purchase.

You may inspect the goods as you would in a physical shop. However, if the item has been handled more than necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and function, we may deduct an amount reflecting any reduction in value.

If you validly exercise your right of withdrawal, we will refund the purchase price and any standard delivery costs without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive notice of your decision to withdraw. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back, or until you have provided documentation that the goods have been sent back, whichever comes first. Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed.

3. Damaged, defective, or incorrect items

Please inspect your order when it arrives and contact us as soon as possible if the item is damaged, defective, or if you received the wrong item. Please email post@lofotenseaweed.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos if relevant.

If the product is defective, damaged in transit, or incorrect, your rights are governed by applicable consumer law. Where the claim is valid, we will remedy the issue. This will normally mean replacement within a reasonable time. If that is not possible or appropriate, you may be entitled to a price reduction or refund.

If the claim is valid, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs.

4. Non-returnable items and exceptions

Some items may be exempt from the statutory right of withdrawal where this is permitted by law. This may include goods that deteriorate quickly or expire rapidly, and sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed.

Gift cards are non-returnable.

Items on final sale are non-refundable. (Any exclusions for sale items apply only to our voluntary 30-day return policy and do not limit any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.)

5. Exchanges

If you would like a different item, the simplest option is to request a return of the original item and place a new order.

If the original item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us first so we can assess whether a replacement is the appropriate remedy.
