About the box

What is better than dark chocolate with a hint of sea salt? Dark chocolate and sea salt - with seaweed in both. This combo pairs two of our most loved products: Arctic Seaweed Salt and Dark Chocolate with Sugar Kelp.

Use the salt exactly as you would use regular salt, and get a rounder, deeper flavour along with it. That is the hand-harvested wakame doing its work.

The chocolate is made with high quality cacao beans from Ghana, made locally by chocolate master Craig Alibone, with pieces of our Lofoten sugar kelp folded through it. Dark, tangy, and not quite like anything else.

A good gift for making someone's ordinary Tuesday a little better. Works just as well on yourself.

Arctic Seaweed Salt

Sea salt 87%, Atlantic wakame (Alaria esculenta) 13%.

Nutritional values per 100g: Energy KJ/Kcal (223/53), Fat (0.9g), Carbohydrates (7.2g), of which sugars (0.02g), Fibre (5.8g), Protein (1.2g), Salt (79g).

This product contains 8.4 mg iodine per 100 g. Recommended daily intake is 0.15 mg, upper daily limit 0.6mg. Too much iodine intake can affect thyroid function.

Storage: Keep dry and sealed.

Organic, gluten-free, suitable for vegans.

Dark Chocolate with Sugar Kelp (Ghana 60%)

Cacao kernel, sugar, cacao butter, soya lecithin, Madagascar vanilla, sugar kelp (Saccharina latissima).

Allergens: Contains soya. May contain traces of milk including lactose, almonds, hazelnuts.

How is seaweed salt different from regular salt?

Arctic Seaweed Salt is Norwegian sea salt blended with hand-harvested Atlantic wakame. Use it exactly as you would regular salt, and the seaweed gives a rounder, deeper flavour.

Is there real seaweed in the chocolate?

Yes. Pieces of Lofoten sugar kelp are folded into 60% dark chocolate, made from Ghanaian cacao by chocolate master Craig Alibone.

Our seaweed grows in the cold, clear water around Lofoten, far above the Arctic Circle. We harvest it by hand, dry it gently and pack it right here in the harbour of our small fishing village.

The same seaweed is used in Michelin-starred kitchens.
